CLEVELAND, OHIO – The Mid-American Conference announced its weekly swimming and diving awards on Tuesday afternoon, naming Adele Melamud of the University at Buffalo swimming and diving team MAC Female Diver of the Week. The announcement marks Melamud's third time earning recognition.
The sophomore from Kitchener, Ontario began her second season with the Bulls in style, winning the one and three-meter diving events against Niagara and posting personal best performances in both. Melamud first won the three-meter with a new personal best of 338.70, ranking fifth all-time in program history. She doubled back to take first place in the one-meter with a score of 281.10, also ranking 10th in program history. Both scores also qualified Melamud for the 2027 NCAA Zone A Diving Championships.
Melamud earned the honor twice during her freshman season. The Kitchener native first won the award following two wins in the diving well against Marshall in October of 2025. She later earned the recognition again in January of 2026 after taking first place in both the one and three-meter events at Akron's Zippy Invite.
Melamud and the Bulls will next compete at Eastern Michigan on Friday, October 30th, and Saturday, October 31st. A full schedule for UB Swimming & Diving.
