
Bulls to Travel to Central New York for Indoor Meet

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The University at Buffalo track and field team will travel down the I-90 for the Upstate Challenge hosted by Cornell University. The field at this year's meet will include Albany, Army West Point, Binghamton, Canisius, Colgate, Cornell, SUNY Cortland, Ithaca College, Siena and Syracuse. LAST TIME OUT
Shevaughn Allen leaped his way to a new school record with a distance of 15.96m/52-04.25 in the triple jump. He broke Kaishaun Cathey's record set in 2017. This distance also set a new Youngstown State Facility record that has been held for six years.
Selina Von Jackowski ran to a season's best mark in the 60-meter hurdles in a time of 8.56 to win the Youngstown State Invite. Her time is a MAC automatic qualifier, ranks first in the conference and 70th in the NCAA.
Nisa Raqib won the women's triple jump with a MAC automatic qualifying mark of 12.50m/41-0.25. Her jump was over eight feet better than second place.
Senior Sam Wray broke his season-record in weight throw with a distance of 19.20m/63-00.00. Wray's previous season-best was 19.04m/62-05.75. This distance is now fourth in UB's all-time results.

Looking ahead, the Bulls will travel to University Park, Pa. where they will compete in the Penn State National Open on Saturday, Feb. 1. The meet will start at 10 a.m. in the Horace Ashenfelter III Indoor Track Facility.
