
Bulls Look to Win Last Dual Meet of the Season

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The University at Buffalo women's swimming and diving team (2-2, 2-1 MAC) will hit the road for a dual meet in Toledo, Ohio as they will square off with the Toledo Rockets (5-4, 0-2 MAC). The meet will start at 11 a.m. in the Toledo Student Recreation Center Pool. Toledo was selected to finish eighth in this year's MAC pre-season coaches' poll.
HISTORY
The Bulls and Rockets have not met in a dual meet since 2017 where the Bulls stampeded to a home victory, 218-82. UB is 3-13 all-time against the Rockets with their last road win coming in January of 2016 by a score of 177-123. UB is 2-6 at Toledo's Student Recreation Center Pool.
LAST TIME OUT
Buffalo will enter Saturday's competition fresh of a dominant performance against the Ohio Bobcats where the Bulls won 15-of-16 events in a 218-81 dual meet victory. Brittney Beetcher won the 1,000 freestyle with an exhilarating finish as she came back to win by .06 seconds. Her time of 10:09.07 is now the seventh on UB's all-time list. Beetcher also went on to win the 500 freestyle for her second individual win of the meet.
UB claimed the podium in the 100 butterfly with the trio of Jillian Lawton (57.54), Andrea Ernst (57.89) and Sydnie Sovinsky (57.96).
Patricia Arceri qualified for NCAA Diving Zones in both the 1-meter and 3-meter dive with scores of 270.75 and 288.98.
The dual meet against Toledo will start at 11 a.m. and will air on ESPN3.

The Bulls will host Duquesne and MAC favorite Akron on Saturday, Feb. 1 at the Alumni Arena Natatorium for their final meet of the season before the MAC Championships. The meet is set to start at 1 p.m.
