Junior (2019-20): Completed the 100 butterfly in 56.23 at the Ohio State Invite…Finished eighth in the 200 butterfly in 2:01.79 at the MAC Championships…Part of the third place team at Penn State in the 400 medley relay that finished in 3:54.02.
Sophomore (2018-19): Completed the 200 yard butterfly in 2:03.51 at the MAC Championships…Helped her teammates finish the 200 yard medley relay in 1:49.84 against Akron…Came in fourth place in the 50 yard butterfly in 27.22 against Duquesne.
Freshman (2017-18): Earned the win in the 200 freestyle relay against Niagara, finishing in 1:38.20... Took home first place in the 200 butterfly event, finishing in 2:06.89 against St. Bonaventure... Won the 500 freestyle in 5:13.56 against Ball st... Finished in ninth place in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:01.72 at the MAC Championships.
High School: Swam five years, including one as captain, at Liverpool high school for head coach Zac Mekker... led her team to a 8-2 record as a senior... won all races during her senior season... 13-time Section 3 champion... earned NYSPHSAA Championship top 10 times in the 100 fly and 200 free as a senior... earned All-CNY honors four times including First Team honors in 2012.
Personal: Born on October 17, 1999... daughter of John and Lujean Sovinsky... chose UB because the school of management has excellent accreditations and rankings... intends on majoring in business administration with a marketing concentration.
