BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo women's tennis team won a pair of matches on Saturday, including the first ever match played on the new UB Tennis Courts. The Bulls defeated D3 powerhouse Carnegie Mellon, 4-3, and then capped the day off by sweeping Niagara, 7-0.
The first match between Buffalo and Carnegie Mellon was played outdoors and singles was played first due to impending rain in the forecast. The two teams split the six singles matches. Senior Emel Abibula also picked up a victory with a 6-2, 0-6, 10-7 win at four.
