Bulls Complete Day Two of MAC Championships

GENEVA, OH – The University at Buffalo, The State University of New York men's swimming and diving team completed day two of action at the Mid-American Conference Men's Swimming and Diving Championships on Thursday. The Bulls sit in fifth place heading into Friday's action.
In the opening event of the evening, the Bulls finished a close second in the 200 freestyle relay. The team of Antonio Lanzi, Itai De La Vega, Jonathan Ekas and Oliver Patrouch finished with a time of 1:20.22. Miami (OH) won the race in 1:19.90.
Lanzi swam a season-best time of 20.12 to tie for second in the 50 freestyle. Patrouch posted a fourth place finish with a time of 20.31 – also a season best.
Scott Huang shattered his previous season-best time to finish sixth in the 200 individual medley. Huang swam a 1:49.96. His previous best was 1:53.30.
In the 200 medley relay, the Bulls posted a fourth place finish. Eric Jensen, De La Vega, Eric Forrester and Patrouch finished with a time of 1:29.34. Missouri State won the race in 1:26.79.
The Bulls also posted a fourth place finish in the 800 freestyle relay. The team of Matt Bitara, Lanzi, Jensen and Patrouch had a time of 6:35.83.
In the diving well, Derek Linebaugh posted an eighth place finish with a score of 304.00
