
Kassidy Kidd Named MAC Offensive Player Of The Week

BUFFALO, NY - Senior midfielder Kassidy Kidd of the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York women's soccer was named Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the MAC on Monday afternoon. Kidd led the Bulls to a 1-0-1 weekend as they improved to 7-5-2 overall and 3-2-1 in MAC play.
The Niagara Falls, Ontario native capped her weekend with three goals to go along with seven shots in two games for the Bulls. She netted two goals in Sunday's victory over Northern Illinois, marking the first multi-goal game in her UB career.
Kidd was the most dominant player on the field all weekend long for the Bulls as she made her first start of the season as a forward on Friday against Western Michigan and netted the Bulls lone goal in a 1-1 draw. Kidd took the opening kick of the second half and beat the WMU keeper for her first goal of the season and also notched three shots in the tie.
On Sunday, Kidd had a career game as she netted the first goal of the match in the 28th minute and the final goal of the match in the 62nd minute as UB cruised to a 4-1 victory over the Huskies. Kidd finished the match with a team-high four shots as she was dangerous all afternoon, propelling the Bulls to their most goals in a match (four) since 2008.
On the season, Kidd has notched a career-high three goals and four assists for 10 points to go along with 32 shots.
This marks the first time in Kidd's career that she has earned MAC Offensive Player of the Week honors.
