
UB Volleyball Announces Summer Camp Schedule

BUFFALO, NY - The UB volleyball team, under first-year head coach Reed Sunahara, will offer five different camps this Summer for athletes of all ages.
It begins with three different free one-day clinics in April to be held all over the greater Buffalo area, starting on the 23rd in West Seneca. There will be two sessions limited to just the first 60 participants, with the first running from 6 pm to 7:30 for ages 12-15 and session two from 7:30 to 9 pm for those age 15-18. The second clinic will be in Orchard Park, with the first 35 participants age 17-18 taking part in a clinic from 7:15 to 9 pm. The final one-day clinic will be in Tonawanda, with the first 30 participants age 15-16 will take part in the clinic from 6 pm to 7:30.
The UB staff will take participants through competitive drills, technical skill development and scrimmage situations for those who have played on the high school or club level. Those who are interested in the free clinics should bring athletic apparel, knee pads and their own water bottle, and can register here.
The Summer camps begin on July 11, with a three-day Girls and Boys Volley Tots Clinic. Offered for beginners age 7-12, it will be held from 9am-12 each day in Alumni Arena. Running simultaneously to that will be a three-day boys All Skills Camp. This intensive camps runs from 2-8 pm July 11-13, exclusively for boys age 10-18. Campers will be divided based on experience and skill level to ensure specialized instruction.
There will also be two camps exclusively for girls, beginning July 19 at Alumni Arena. The Bulls will hold a two-day position camp that will run from 9-3 pm for ages 12-18. Campers will be broken up based on the position and will receive specialized training in either setting, hitting or as a libero. The Summer camp season will close with the girls Nike All-Star Skill Camp, which will run July 21-24 from 9-3 pm. Offered to advanced level girls between the age of 10-18, this all-encompassing camp will offer in-depth coaching in all aspects of the game.
