
Bulls Swept On The Road By Ohio

ATHENS, OH – The University at Buffalo volleyball team dropped its third straight match on Saturday night as they fell to Ohio, 3-0, at the Convocation Center. The loss drops UB's record to 7-11 and 1-5 in conference play.
The Bobcats took the match 25-18, 25-13, 25-17 as they hit .368 for the contest compared to just .154 for Buffalo. The Bulls had their best chance in the opening set when they were tied 13-13 midway through the set, but Ohio responded with a 6-2 run to take the lead and ultimately the set. Ohio was able to ride the momentum from the victory in sets two and three and take the match.
Sophomore Liz Scott led the way with nine kills, while junior Carissa McKenna added six kills and just one error on 10 swings. Freshmen Megan Lipski and Tahleia Bishop finished with five and three kills, respectively.
Defensively, Kelly Svoboda led the way with eight digs, while Scott and Lipski each had four. Freshman Akeila Lain had three total blocks, including two solos.
The Bulls return to action next Friday when they head to Northern Illinois for a 7:00 pm CT start.
