ATHENS, OH - The University at Buffalo volleyball team began its final regular season weekend with a 3-0 loss at Ohio. The loss drops UB to 11-18 on the season and 4-11 in the conference as they conclude the season tomorrow night.
The Bobcats took the contest 25-19, 25-22, 26-24, outhitting the Bulls, .216 to .132. The Bulls led big in the third set, but were unable to hold on to the lead.
Dana Musil led the way with seven kills, while Liz Scott and Sable Staller each added six. Fellow freshman Alessandra Jovy-Heuser had five kills and just one error on 11 total swings.
Sophomore Dani Reinert had 27 assists and eight digs, while Kelly Svoboda led the way with a team-high 11 digs. Scott added two aces, seven digs and three total blocks on the night.
The Bulls will conclude the regular season tomorrow at Kent State. Match is set for 7:00 pm.
