
Bulls Drops Road Match At Ball State, 3-0

MUNCIE, IN – The University at Buffalo volleyball team was unable to pick up the road victory at Ball State on Saturday night, falling to the MAC leaders, 3-0 at Worthen Arena.
The Cardinals took the contest 25-19, 25-19, 25-17 as they hit .337 for the match. The Bulls got a fantastic effort out of freshman Sable Staller, who made her homecoming on Saturday night with 10 kills and just one error on 20 swings. Staller added four digs and a block.
Staller was not the only freshmen who had a solid night as Liz Scott finished with her second straight double-figure match with 11 kills. Staller and Scott were the only two players in double figures in kills for UB. Sophomore Dana Musil had seven kills, but added 10 hitting errors.
Sophomore Dani Reinert led the offense with 31 assists, adding four digs and a solo block. Kelly Svoboda led the way for UB with a match-high 14 digs. Musil added seven digs for Buffalo.
Ball State, who improved to 22-3 on the season and 11-1 in the MAC, was led by 13 kills from Kylee Baker and 12 kills from Mindy Marx.
The Bulls return home next weekend for their final two matches at Alumni Arena. The Bulls will host Bowling Green on Friday night at 7:00 pm and Miami (OH) on Saturday at 6:00 pm. The match against the RedHawks will be Senior Day.
