
Bulls Fall At Ohio, 3-0

ATHENS, OH - The University at Buffalo volleyball team ran into a hot-hitting Ohio squad on Saturday night, falling to the Bobcats, 3-0, at the Convocation Center. The loss drops UB's record to 13-7 and 1-3 in the MAC.
The Bobcats took the contest 25-14, 25-19, 25-16 as they hit .378 for the match opposed to .095 for the Bulls. UB had its opportunities in the second set, leading most of the way, but with things tied at 17-17, the Bobcats finished the set on an 8-2 run.
Senior Kayla Govier led the way with seven kills, while Kristin Bignell had five kills. Dana Musil and Marisa Hornbaker each added four kills. Freshman Dani Reinert finished with a team-high 18 assists.
Defensively, junior Heather Pyle finished with six digs, while Hornbaker, Reinert and Kelly Svoboda each had four digs. For the second straight night, the Bulls were outblocked as Ohio finished with 11.0 team blocks, while UB had 5.0 for the night.
UB is back home on Thursday night as they host Akron at 7:00 pm.
