Jordan Deren Named MAC Swimmer of the Week

BUFFALO, NY– University at Buffalo junior Jordan Deren earned the Mid-American Conference Swimmer of the Week Award based on her performance against Duquesne last Friday, as the Bulls beat the Dukes 137.5-75.5.
Deren swept both distance events, placing first in the 1000
freestyle, finishing in a time of 10:28.05, as well as the 500
freestyle (5:05.04), with the closest Duquesne competition nearly
ten seconds behind. Deren was also a member of the winning 400
freestyle relay team that finished in a time of 3:34.64.
The women's team is back in action this weekend with a
road trip to MAC rivals Miami and Ohio. The Bulls will take on the
RedHawks, Friday, October 30 at 4pm in Oxford, Ohio, followed by a
trip to Athens, Ohio for a meet with the Bobcats on Saturday,
October 31 in a 1pm dual.
