2011-12: Was the team’s utility man, wrestling at 157, 165, 174 and 184 pounds over the course of the season... finished with an 11-12 overall record, including one dual meet win... finished second on the team with 23 escapes... opened the season with a second-place finish at the UB Open, going 3-1 (11/6)... beat Gardner-Webb’s Alex Medved 5-2 at the UB Quad Meet (12/18)... after dropping his first round match at the Storm Open, he racked up six straight wins to place third overall (1/7).
Previous School: Wrestled at the Rochester Institute of Technology... finished the season with a 4-1 record while wrestling at 157 pounds, recording a pin and major decision.
High School: Earned six letters and was a four-time captain for the Medina Mustangs... finished third at the New York State championships in his junior year... concluded his high school career with a record of 207-40, winning 35 matches in his senior season... name to the All League and All County team six times, also winning the state sportsmanship award twice... was a six time league finalist, four time league and sectional champ... state qualifier five times and represented New York state four times... placed twice at the state tournament.
Personal: Born July 28, 1992... son of Salvatore and Donna... has two brothers, Salvatore and Matthew, and one sister, Maria... will major in business administration... also enjoys playing football and dodgeball... lists his father as his greatest athletic influence... if he could travel anywhere in the world, it would be Italy... his dream as a college athlete is to be a national champion.
