Bio
2014-15: Redshirted as a freshman... finished off the year with a 25-14 record with two pins in open tournaments for UB.
High School: Earned six letters including two as a team captain at Amsterdam High School. As a senior, he compiled a record of 49-1 and went on to win a state championship. He set the school and Section 2 record for wins in a career. The five-time Section 2 champion also recorded four straight place finishes at the state tournament.
Personal: Born on August 10, 1996… son of Brenda and James Lapi… has two sisters, Sherry and Breanna… majoring in law at UB… lists his hobbies as hunting and fishing… enjoys country music especially Luke Bryan… his favorite quote is “whoever said winning wasn’t everything is a loser”.
