Cali Assaley joins the Buffalo volleyball staff after competing for the Bulls last season. She helped propel the Bulls to a 19-14 record that included the program’s first ever post-season tournament in their Division I era.
She appeared in 31 matches, finishing her the season with 242 kills, 20 blocks, 13 assists, and 266.0 points.
“I am very excited to bring Cali onboard as the director of operations for this coming year,” stated Head Coach Scott Smith. “After spending this past fall in the program as a player, she has firsthand knowledge and experience of what works well with the team from a communication and organizational standpoint. The strong relationship Cali has built with the team and the staff will serve her well as she handles much of the day-to-day communication, social media accounts, and assists with travel logistics for the team this fall.”
Prior to Buffalo, Assaley played four seasons at UL Monroe, seeing action in 103 matches, while making 59 starts. She racked up 672 kills for the Warhawks and earned second-team All-Louisiana by the Louisiana Sports Writers Association as a senior, the first to earn the honor since 2018.
