2014-15: A senior captain...named to Mid-American Conference Second Team...tallied MAC All-Tournament Team recognition and went on to be named MAC Scholar Athlete of the Week on March 18...earned MAC East Player of the Week twice and Big 4 Player of the Week and UB Female Athlete of the Week on four occasions...only player to start all 32 games...led the Bulls in scoring 14.2 points and in rebounding 8.1 rebounds per game...ranked second on the squad with 53 assists, 48 steals and 30 blocks...shot a Bull-best 78.2 percent from the line (111-for-142)...became the 22nd Bull in program history to score 1,000 points on a free throw on Jan. 17 against Ball State...ranks eighth all-time at UB with 1,264 points...had a team-high eight double-doubles on the season: had 18 points and 13 rebounds at St. Francis (PA), 15 points and 13 rebounds against Ohio, 13 points and 13 rebounds against Western Michigan, 17 points and 13 rebounds against Ball State, 24 points and 11 rebounds at Eastern Michigan, 13 points and 11 rebounds at Western Michigan, 15 points and 10 rebounds at Kent State and 19 points and 13 rebounds in the MAC quarterfinals against Western...she put up a season-best 30 points (10-for-17) in the Bulls'' 68-60 win over Illinois State...averaged 21.0 points, 7.5 rebounds and 5.0 steals, while shooting 51.9 percent from the floor over two games to earn Miami Thanksgiving All-Tournament Team accolades...paced the Bulls in scoring 13 times and posted 20 double-digit performances...grabbed team-best boards 11 times...scored 20-plus points six times: 30 versus Illinois State, 26 at Canisius and versus Toledo, 24 at Eastern Michigan, 22 at Akron and 21 at Toledo...pulled down a season-high 13 rebounds on five occasions...dished out a season-high five assists against Bowling Green...led the MAC with 3.6 offensive rebounds per game...ended her career sitting on UB career lists with a free throw percentage of 77.2 (4th), 120 games played (4th), 305 free throws (5th), 759 rebounds (10th), 98 blocks (11th) and 455 field goals (10th)...named to the Academic All-MAC Team and a MAC Distinguished Scholar Athlete...selected to Preseason All-MAC East Team and Preseason All-Big 4 Second Team.
2013-14: Named Third Team All-MAC...was the only player to start every single game, averaging 31.1 minutes per game...set new career highs in every major statistical category, highlighted by a five points per game increase in scoring and a 2.6 rebound per game increase...also set new career highs in assists and steals...finished second on the team in scoring (14.7) and led the team in rebounds (8.7)...led the Bulls in scoring 12 times and in rebounding 10 times...had 11 double-doubles for the season...her 441 points are the 14th most in a single season in program history...notched 25 points with 14 rebounds against Cornell (11/16)...hit 10-12 shots to score 23 points on the road at Siena (12/7)...had one of the finest games in program history at Ball State, scoring 36 points to go with 10 rebounds...her 36 points against the Cardinals were the third most by a player in a single game in the program''s history (1/26)...hit 10-11 free throws, including eight straight in the home stretch, to score 22 points in a win at Miami (OH) (3/1)...helped the team clinch the fourth seed with 17 points and a career-high five steals in a win over Kent State in the regular-season finale (3/8)...Academically, she earned the MAC Presidential Award and was named to the 10-member MAC All-Academic Team, was inducted into the Taurus Aureus, an academic honor society, and became a SUNY Chancellor''s Scholar-Athlete...was the female recipient of the MAC Medal of Excellence, presented annually to one male and one female student-athlete from the graduating class of each of the 12 conference member institutions.
2012-13: Played in all 32 games, starting 28, in her first season since missing 2011-12 with a knee injury...averaged career bests in scoring, rebounding and blocked shots...finished with a double-double in the season opener, scoring 14 points and grabbing 10 rebounds against Canisius (11/9)...led Buffalo to victory with a career-high 22 points against Oakland (11/16)...finished with 17 points in UB''s MAC opener against Northern Illinois (1/10)...hit double figures in scoring 12 times, including 14 points at Akron (2/2)...reached double figures in back-to-back games against Akron (3/6) and Northern Illinois (3/9)...led the team to an upset win over Miami (OH) in the MAC Tournament, with 14 points and eight rebounds (3/13)...scored a career high 26 points in the MAC Tournament quarterfinal game, hitting 12 field goals to go along with seven rebounds and two blocks (3/14).
2011-12: Sat out the season as a medical redshirt.
2010-11: Played in 26 games, missing six games due to injury...reached double figures in scoring twice this season, including a career-high 14 points against Canisius (12/1)...also had 11 points and three rebounds against Howard (11/12)...added eight points against Bucknell (11/21) and six points against Miami (1/12)...hit five three pointers during the season, including a late trey against Brown (1/2) keying the Bulls to victory...had a three in the MAC quarterfinal round against Central Michigan (3/9)...recorded a career-high six rebounds in the postseason game against Wright State (3/16).
High School: Earned four letters and captained one season for coach Kathy Snyder at Southern Regional High School...helped lead her team to a 20-8 record as a senior where she averaged 21.8 points and 11.3 rebounds per game...finished her career as the school''s leading rebounder with 984 boards and second all-time leading scorer with 1,740 points...was named the Press of Atlantic City Player Of The Year and a first-team all-star selection...led the team to two A-South Division titles and back-to-back South Jersey Group 4 State Final appearances...also earned three letters as a goalie on the school''s field hockey team.
Personal: Born January 17, 1992...daughter of Patrick and Patricia Sharkey...has three sisters Erin, Shannon and Kaitlyn...favorite athlete is Dwight Howard and her favorite food is mac and cheese...was also recruited by Fairleigh Dickinson, Temple, UMass, Monmouth, Mount St. Mary''s and New Hampshire, but chose Buffalo because of the great campus and great people...lists her greatest athletic experience as winning the title and being named MVP at a tournament at Disney''s Wide World of Sports.
