2009-10: Second UB student-athlete to receive All-Mid-American Conference First-Team Honors…named the MAC’s Defensive Player of the Year…earned Academic All-MAC recognition for the second-consecutive season, one of just three players in the league to do so…leading scorer with a 17.8 ppg average, including a 19.2 average in MAC contests…holds first and second in single-season point totals with her junior season total of 535 atop the list…one of two players to start and play every game…boasted a team-best 56.5 field-goal percentage…led the team and conference in rebounds (11.5 pg), including 5.8 offensive boards per contest…set the UB single-season record with 346 total rebounds and is third in the MAC record books…first player in MAC history to capture a school’s single-season scoring and rebounding record in the same year and just the second to hold each overall…recorded a team-best 59 steals…had at least one steal in the first six contests, including a season-high six against Niagara (11/13)…was the Bulls leading shot blocker with 63, good for second all-time at UB…blocked a season-high five shots three times, including in back-to-back contests at Akron (1/9) and at Bowling Green (1/13)…tallied a school record 19 double-doubles and posted 11 20-or-more point games…led the team in scoring in 24 games, including the final six contests…held to below 10 points on a mere five occasions…posted career-highs in the season-opening win over Niagara with 33 points and 22 boards, earning MAC East Player of the Week…recorded double-figures in seven of the first eight games of the year…named MAC East Player of the Week following a trio of double-double performances against American (12/28), at Stetson (12/29) and versus Bucknell (1/3)…became the fastest player in UB history to reach 1,000 career points following a 20-point effort at Akron (1/9)…named MAC East Player of the Week for the third time during seven-straight double-double streak…was just shy of career-high in points with 30-point effort against Toledo (1/27), going 12-of-25 from the floor, grabbing 18 boards as well… picked up fourth MAC East Player of the Week honor, averaging 22.0 points and 12.0 rebounds against Eastern Michigan (2/3) and Central Michigan (2/6)…had 19 points, 16 rebounds and five blocked shots in the First Round MAC game against Eastern Michigan (3/6).
2008-09: The only UB player to have started in all 32 games...was named second-team All-MAC, Academic All-MAC and to the All-MAC Tournament Team..led the team in scoring, rebounding, blocked shots and field goal percentage...moved into first place in school history for field goals in a season with 220, the highest field goal total in the MAC..scored the most points in school history in a single season with 532...recorded double figures 25 games, including 12 20-point games and two 30-point games...had a career-high 31 points against Ball State (2/8), becoming the first UB player to score 30 points in a game since the 2003 season...also recorded 30 points and 14 rebounds against Bowling Green (2/25)...had eight double-doubles on the season and had three double-digit rebounding games in UB’s last four games...recorded a career-high 16 rebounds against Akron (2/28), while adding 25 points...scored in double figures in UB’s first nine games of the season, including back-to-back 22-point games against Youngstown State (11/19) and Delaware (11/22)...had 29 points and eight rebounds against Hofstra (12/6)...recorded double figures in scoring in each of UB’s last five games...recorded a career-high five rebounds against Miami (OH) (3/7)...recorded a career-high seven blocks against Northern Illinois (3/11)...was named MAC East Player of the Week on three separate occasions, the most by a UB player since the 2000-01 season...was named to the all-tournament team of the East Carolina Lady Pirate Invitational.
2007-08: Sat out the season as a medical redshirt.
2006-07: Saw action in all 29 games for the Bulls with 17 starts on the season...led the team with 31 blocked shots on the year...recorded a career-high 17 points against Akron (1/13)...scored the first 12 points in a game against Eastern Michigan (1/24)...recorded her first double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds in UB’s MAC Tournament game against Toledo (3/4)...recorded 16 points against Kent State (2/28) and Miami (OH) (2/14)...also blocked a season-high four shots against Miami (OH) (2/14)...had back-to-back 12-point games against Cleveland State (11/28) and Niagara (12/2).
High School: A four-year letterwinner and two-year captain for coach Julie Solis at Solon High School...averaged 18.1 points, 9.9 rebounds and 3.1 steals per game as a senior, leading her team to a 23-4 record...set the school record for points in a game (41) and rebounds in a game (21)...was named to the All-Conference, All-District and All-County First Teams...was also named to the All-Ohio Second Team and a Cleveland Plain Dealer All-Star....helped the Comets to the state championship game as a senior and a WRC Conference Championship as a junior...also lettered in cross country and track where she set the school record in the 3200m and as part of the 4x800m relay team.
Personal: Born February 9, 1988...nickname is Kourt...daughter of Kalvin and Kim...has one brother (Kalvin Jr.) and one sister (Brandie)...chose UB over University of Charleston, Indiana University of Pennsylvania, St. Bonaventure and Toledo...came to UB because of the campus, the coaching staff and the excellent engineering program....would like to break the UB record for most points in a game....favorite athlete is LeBron James...lifetime goal is to become a software developer and own her own company...majoring in computer science.
