2011-12: Returned from injury to become one of the team’s top offensive threats in the post, playing in every game and making 25 starts... will be the team’s leading returner in points, rebounds, and blocked shots... finished second on the team with 10.2 points per games, also averaging 6.4 rebounds... had 15 games in double figures for scoring... recorded five double-doubles... scored 15 points and added eight rebounds in a win over Bucknell (11/19)... notched her first career double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds in a win over Oakland (12/22)... had 19 points and eight rebounds in a win over NJIT (12/29)... had a career-high 26 points and pitched in 10 rebounds against rival Akron (1/11)... posted 20 points and 10 rebounds against Western Michigan (2/2)... had three steals, two blocks, 13 points and a career-high 14 rebounds against Akron (2/28)... ended the season with 23 points and 11 rebounds in the MAC tournament against Akron (3/3).
2010-11: Sat out the season as a medical redshirt.
2009-10: Averaged 5.9 minutes over 28 games played…averaged 1.8 points per contest, with a 48.9 field-goal percentage…recorded a 52.0 field-goal percentage in 15 Mid-American Conference games played…contributed an average of 1.5 rebounds per game…with a 5-of-8 effort from the floor, scored a career-best 10 points against Youngstown State (12/13)…went 4-of-4 from the charity stripe against Bucknell (1/3)…corralled a career-high six boards at Akron, including five on the defensive glass.
High School: Earned four letters and captained for two seasons for head coach Terry Heidersheit at John Marshall High School...averaged 15.0 points, 10.0 rebounds and 3.0 blocks per game as she led the Rockets to a 23-6 record as a senior...set the school record for most rebounds in a game with 21...was named one of Minnesota’s top 20 players...three-time All-Conference selection.
Personal: Born January 1, 1991...daughter of Salvatory Longar and Rachel Arol..is one of 11 children as she has six brothers and four sisters...full name is Nytor Salvatory Longar and her nickname is Nene...her brother Longar Longar played men’s basketball at Oklahoma...favorite athlete is Kevin Garnett and her favorite foods are fried chicken, lasagna and chicken alfredo...favorite musician is Lil Wayne...was also recruited by Arizona, Milwaukee and UIC, but chose Buffalo because of the great environment and it felt like home...would like to set the UB record for rebounds and become the first player in school history to dunk...chose her number because it used to be Kevin Garnett’s number.
