Ewing is entering his second season as assistant coach with the Buffalo women's basketball team in 2024-25.

In his first season in Buffalo, the Bulls had a stellar year as they won 19 games, earned a trip to the MAC Championship game and an appearance in the postseason WNIT. The Bulls won 10 games in league play, a seven-win improvement from a season ago which is the highest improvement of any MAC school. Ewing worked diligently with the Bulls’ post players, including Alexis Davis who led the team in rebounding and played a major role in the UB front court.

Ewing came to UB from St. Bonaventure where he served as assistant coach and Director of Basketball Operations for the 2022-23 season.

Prior to St. Bonaventure, Ewing served as an assistant coach at Daemen College during the 2021-22 season. Ewing worked with the post players, helping lead the development of conference Player of the Year and First Team All-American Katie Titus, while also serving as the program's recruiting coordinator. Before Daemen, Ewing was an assistant coach at Bryant and Stratton College for the 2020-21 season where he helped lead the Bobcats to a USCAA conference runner up finish.

As a student-athlete, Ewing spent two seasons at Toledo (2011-13) where he was a two-year letterman and helped lead the Rockets to a Mid-American Conference West Division Championship in 2013. He finished his collegiate playing career at Mercyhurst (2013-15) where, as a senior, he started all 20 games, shooting nearly 50 percent from the floor and was the team's leading rebounder and helped lead the Lakers to their first ever NCAA Tournament appearance following a 20-9 campaign. Ewing graduated from Mercyhurst in 2015 with a bachelor's degree in business and hospitality.

Ewing would go on to play professionally for the Buffalo 716ers of the Premier Basketball League (PBL) following graduation, averaging 10.6 points and 10.0 rebounds per game in 2015. Ewing then spent three seasons playing in Belize in the National Elite Basketball League (NEBL). He spent the 2016 season with the Dangriga Warriors, pouring in 15.8 points per game and was named to the EuroBasket All-NEBL Third Team. He went on to log the 2017 and 2018 campaigns with the Orange Walk Running Rebels, averaging over 16 points per game both seasons. Ewing was also a three-time NEBL All-Star selection.

A graduate of Cardinal O'Hara High School in 2008, Ewing was a three-year varsity starter and scored 1,442 points during his career. As a senior he averaged a double-double, leading the team in scoring (21.0 ppg) and rebounding (13.0 rpg) and was a First Team All-State. During his high school career, he was a three-time First Team All-Catholic, an Honorable Mention All-Western New York and a two-year team captain. Following O'Hara, Ewing played one year at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida where he was also a team captain, averaging 10 points and 10 rebounds per game.
