Senior (2023-24): Brought home a silver medal from MAC Indoor Championships in the women’s pentathlon with a score of 3,881, earning Second Team All-MAC honors…also took silver in the women’s heptathlon at MAC Outdoor Championships with a score 5,2490, marking her sixth career MAC medal and earning Second Team All-MAC honors again…earned Academic All-MAC honors for both the indoor and outdoor season…named the MAC Women’s Field Athlete of the Week during the indoor season after winning the Kent State women’s pentathlon with a personal record score of 3,936, ranking second all-time in UB indoor history.
Junior (2022-23): Won her first career gold medal in the women's javelin at MAC Outdoor Championships with a personal best mark of 42.95 meters…brought home the bronze medal in the pentathlon at MAC Indoor Championships with a score 3,789, the second best in UB school history… won a bronze medal in the women's heptathlon at MAC Outdoor Championships with a score of 5266, ranking second in UB school history.
Sophomore (2021-22): Won the Indoor Bison Open in the Pentathlon in 3558...placed fourth at the MAC Indoor Championships Pentathlon...seventh UB all-time in the pentathlon...fourth UB all time in the javelin throw...eighth UB all-time in the heptathlon.
Freshman (2020-21): Won the Indoor Akron Invitational Pentathlon...placed fourth at MAC Outdoor Championships in the heptathlon.
High School: Placed second at the Italian Championship in the pentathlon in 2020...placed third at the Italian Championship in the pentathlon in 2019...13-time Champion of Veneto Region in various events (high jump, discus throw, 400m, heptathlon, pentathlon)
Personal: Parents, Lisa Fontanella and Diego Benussi; sibling Mattia Benussi, 23... chose UB because of SEAS programs and to compete at a D1 school in the United States (international student)...inspired by her mom, the strongest woman she knows...favorite athlete is Ashton Eaton, former decathlon record holder with an amazing work ethic and mindset...in her free time enjoys hiking and watching TV… favorite TV show is Dark and favorite movie to watch is Interstellar…. can’t live without Mashed potatoes and ice cream... was a ballerina for 14 years and started track when she was 17.
