Junior (2015-16): 1st place in three-different events against Ball State – 100 Breast (56.11), 200 Breast (2:01.80) and 200 IM (1:53.21)… Placed 1st in two different events, and 2nd in two different events at Bucknell Invitational – 200 IM (1:48.63), 200 Breast (1:59.43), 400 Medley Relay (3:20.06), and 100 Breast (55.18) respectively… NCAA “B” Cut in 200 Breast with time of 1:59.43… NCAA “B” Cut in 200 IM with time of 1:48.37… Placed 6th at MAC Championships in 100 Breast, clocking in at 54.81… US Olympic Time Trials Qualifier in 20 Breast with time of 2:17.53… All-MAC 2nd Team.
Sophomore (2014-15): Second-team All-MAC as a sophomore, named MAC men’s swimmer of the week once, and swam NCAA “B” cuts in the 100 and 200 breaststroke. At the MAC Championships, he broke the school record in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 1:55.64, swam a season-best time of 54.88 in the 100 breaststroke, and in the 200 individual medley reached Buffalo’s top time during the 2014-15 season of 1:49.94. Against Niagara Huang swam a season-best time of 52.51 in the 100 backstroke and 9:41.32 in the 1000 freestyle.
Frehsman (2013-14): Named second-team All-MAC as a freshman. Set two school records at the Mid-American Championships. His record time of 1:58.92 in the 200 breaststroke was good for third place. He placed fifth in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 55.53. His times were under the NCAA ‘B’ cut in both events. He finished fifth in 200 IM at the MAC Championships with a season-best time of 1:49.48. Member of the team that finished third in the 400 medley relay and second in the 200 medley relay at the MAC Championships.
High School: Swam under head coach Tom Speedling at Scarlet Aquatic Club for four years. Swam at East Brunswick High School, and went undefeated in dual meets. Was a junior national qualifier.
Personal: Son of Harold and Holly. Has a sister (Christina). Also enjoys playing basketball. Chose UB because the team and computer science program felt like a perfect fit. Three words that best describe him are spontaneous, odd and winner. Majoring in computer science.
