2014-15: Second team All-MAC. Competed in butterfly, freestyle, and individual medley events. At MAC Championships he swam a season-best time of 20.08 in the 50 meter freestyle portion as part of the 200 medley relay, which hit a NCAA “B” cut, 44.57 in the 100 meter freestyle, which was the team’s fastest time in the event, and 1:38.82 in the 200 meter freestyle. Against Niagara in the 500 meter freestyle, he swam a season-best time of 4:49.42. In the butterfly, Lanzi swam a time of 23:45 in the 50 meter race at the Cleveland State Invitational and 53.47 in the 100 meter race at the Western NY Invitational. Against St. Bonaventure, Lanzi swam a season-best time of 1:55.26 in the 200 IM.
2013-14: Posted UB’s best time of the season in the 200 freestyle (1:38.83) en route to an eighth place finish at the MAC Championships. Had a season-best time of 45.14 in the 100 freestyle to finish second in the B Final at the MAC Championships. Member of the 200 freestyle relay team that finished second at the MAC Championships.
2012-13: Earned the team''s Rookie of Year Award.He scored points for the Bulls in all three of his individual races at the MAC Championships. He set season-best times with his 10th-place finishes in the 200-yard freestyle (1:39.34) and 500-yard freestyle (4:30.07). He also finished 12th in the 100-yard freestyle in 45.69 after posting a season-best 45.61 in the morning''s preliminary heats.
High School: Earned four letters and captained one season at Amsterdam High School for coach Lucky Foreman. Won the state public school title in the 200 freestyle and finished third in the 500 freestyle at the 2012 New York State Championships. Set five individual and two relay records for the Rams. Also a five-year member of the Albany Starfish club program. .
Personal: Born April 5, 1994. Son of Larry and Rosemary Lanzi. Has one brother (Chris). Majoring in business.
