2015-2016: Competed in 5 XC Invite, 6k best of 21:30.9 at the Pre-National Meet. Redshirt Indoor and outdoor season
2016-2017: 2017-2018: Ran in 5 XC Meets for the Bulls including the MAC Championships and NCAA Northeast Regional Championships. Competed in 3 meets Indoors. Outdoor season ran personal best 10,000m of 36:58.96, ranking her #8 on the UB All-Time Top-10 List
2017-2018: Ran in 5 XC Meets for the Bulls including the MAC Champs and NCAA Northeast Regional Championships. Competed in 3000m and 5000m during the indoor and outdoor seasons.
2018-2019: Redshirt XC season. Indoor competed 4 meets for the Bulls, placing 3rd at the Youngstown Ice Breaker Invite 3000m.
2019-2020: came back from foot surgery to compete in 3 XC Meets for the Bulls, and ran personal bests in the Mile and 800m indoor. Outdoor season: canceled due to COVID.
Before coming to UB:
High School Bests: 10:08/3000m.
High School Highlights: Placed 14th at the OFSSA Cross Country Championship.
PERSONAL……..
Daughter of Teresa and Rich Barich. Two sisters, Ally (older) and Kate (younger).; Inspired to help others. Favorite Athlete is the one that keeps getting back up every single time. It's hard to beat someone who never gives up. Enjoys cooking, eating said cooking, writing, yoga, and exploring new coffee shops. Loves to watch the Food Network. Cant' live without Peanut Butter - 'a day without PB isn't a day.' A random Fun Fact: Plans to become a Registered Dietitian and change the world!
Why Rachel chose UB: It felt like home (in addition to offering me the academics I wanted in balance with the sports culture I desired)
