The 2025 UB SPIRIT CHALLENGE
The UB Spirit Challenge on Sunday, October 12, 2025.
The UB Spirit Challenge will be held at the University's North/Amherst Campus in Alumni Arena.
This event is open to all Youth, High School, College, and All-Star programs.
Rules and Guidelines
- 42ft L x 64ft W (9 panel floor). Practice mat is 42ft x 42ft (7 panel).
- Youth & School teams will follow NFHS rule guidelines. We will ONLY offer GAME DAY divisions for school teams.
- Divisions will be broken down as indicated on the registration form for youth teams and as per NYS Sanctioning Guidelines for school teams.
- Youth/Rec teams will be divised into Small/Medium/Large divisions to accommodate the various # of participants if necessary. Teams are placed into age divisions that majority of athletes qualify for.
- All Star teams will follow the Division Guidelines and Leveling system as indicated at www.usasf.net.
- College teams follow AACCA guidelines & rules.
Requirements
- Every participant must have a waiver signed by parent/guardian and turn in day of event. Download waiver
- All music should be on a High quality mp3 file
- Score sheet examples will be sent once team has registered
Schedule
Tentative times are as follows (based on # of teams performing)
- Youth Tinys/Minis - 9am
- Youth Juniors & Seniors - 11:30am
- High School - 1:30pm
Cost
- $13 per participant
- $5 Crossover athlete fee
- 2 coaches per team no cost
- Each additional coach $5 (Coaches not registered will be charged admission day of event)
Awards
- Awards will be announced at the end of each program section (Youth/Youth/School)
- Every team will earn an award/placement
- Grand Champions will be awarded in each Award session and is determined by overall high score
- Specialty awards such as Top stunts - Jumps-Tumbling & Choreography awards!
Registration
- Download Registration Form
- Due NO LATER than October 4th. A $25 late fee will apply to any team registering after the due date.
- We understand that payment is sometimes delayed due to school administrations however it is still necessary to register by the due date. If payment is not sent with registration a purchase order/document should be presented.
- A roster is required for every team. Please include with registration

Grade Level - Each team will be notified no later than Wednesday, October 8 on their approx. practice and performance times
- Score sheets and up to date information will be provided via email only
- Once registered you will receive an information sheet with FAQ’s to help you prepare for the day
- Release/waiver forms are to be turned in the day of the event upon arrival in main lobby of Alumni Arena
FYI’s
- Official UB Spirit Challenge Tee-shirts will be available for purchase
- Carnations and various vendors also on site
We are very excited about this year’s event and hope to see you there! We encourage everyone to remember and instill in your team that this is an event that promoted “Spirit, “ for our sport!
