Bio
2022: One of five Bulls to appear and start in all 46 games for UB as a sophomore… Recorded a .308 batting average on a team-best 41 hits, including six doubles, a team-best four triples, 10 home runs, 29 RBI and a team-best 36 runs scored while also leading the team with a .639 slugging and .440 on base percentage… Recorded 10 multi-hit games… Blasted a two run home run in a big win over Penn State (2/19)… Set a career single-game high with two triples and three RBI in a win at Southeastern (3/4)… Blasted a two-run home run in a win at Toledo (3/25)… Drilled a go-ahead two-run home run at Miami (4/15)… Blasted a three-run home run to seal a big win over Ball State (4/23)… Smashed a pair of home runs in game one before following it up with another solo shot to lead off game two in a pair of road wins at Northern Illinois (5/7)… Recorded a .979 fielding percentage at first base.
2021: Made an immediate impact in her first season in Buffalo, starting all 53 games as a freshman… Posted a .308 batting average to go with 41 hits, five doubles, seven home runs, 28 RBI and 30 runs scored while recording a .519 slugging and .481 on base percentage… Posted nine multi-hit and seven multi-RBI games on the year… Recorded her first career home run against East Carolina (2/20)… Recorded her first multi-hit and multi-RBI game at Florida A&M (3/7)… Posted back-to-back multi-RBI games at Western Michigan (4/3-4/4)… Went 2-for-2 with three RBI in a win over Kent State (4/28)… Went 2-for-3 with a season-high four RBI in a win at Ohio (5/7).
Before Buffalo: Steffan comes to Buffalo from nearby Williamsville, NY where she competed for Williamsville East. She capped her four-year career by helping the Flames win their first state title, completing a perfect 27-0 season. She batted .418 with a .714 slugging percentage as a senior while recording four home runs, including a big solo home run in the state semifinal, which earned her Western New York Player of the Year honors as well as a spot on the All New York State First Team. Steffan was also a member of the Flames’ volleyball team where she earned First Team All New York State and All Western New York honors. Off the field, Steffan was the President of the National Honor Society as well as an AP Scholar with distinction.
Major: Plans to major in Biomedical Sciences.
