2024: The senior started in all 48 games for the Bulls...With 45 hits on the season, she held a .292 batting average...Had eight extra-base hits including seven doubles and a home run...Drove in 17 run...Had an on base percentage of .380...Had 11 multi-hit games including a three-hit performance at Bowling Green (3/16)...Earned Academic All-MAC honors...Took home CSC Academic All-District honors.
2023: One of three Bulls to appear in all 50 games...Batted .182 with 28 hits and seven doubles...Had a career-best 20 RBIs with a .325 slugging percentage...Had a career-high three hits at Ball State (4/15) as she went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a double...Recorded six multi-hit games on the season...Scored a season-high three times against Army (2/11)...Recorded five multi-RBI performances including a season-high three at Kent State (4/26)...Earned Academic All-MAC honors.
2022: One of five Bulls to appear and start in all 46 games for UB as a sophomore… Posted a .182 batting average on 24 hits, including a career-best eight doubles, a triple, two home runs, a career-high 18 RBI and 18 runs scored… Went 2-for-3 at the plate with an RBI at FIU (2/18)… Recorded a multi-hit game in a win over Cleveland State (2/20)… Had an RBI triple in a win at Ohio (3/18)… Smacked a two-RBI double against Western Michigan (4/2)… Blasted a two-run home run in a win at St. Bonaventure (4/6)… Recorded four RBI with a double and a single at Akron (4/20)… Hit a solo home run in a win at Northern Illinois (5/7)... Recorded a .922 fielding percentage, primarily at third base.
2021: Appeared in 52 games and earned 50 starts in her freshman campaign… Posted a .199 batting average with 27 hits, seven doubles, three home runs, 12 RBI and 18 runs scored… Recorded a season-high three hits including her first career home run and two doubles against East Carolina (2/20)… Went 2-for-2 with two RBI and a home run in a win over Florida A&M (3/7)… Recorded a pair of doubles in a win over Northern Illinois (4/30)… Went 2-for-3 in a win at Ohio (5/8)… Recorded a .929 fielding percentage at second base.
Before Buffalo: Fernimen comes to Buffalo from Hayden, Idaho where she played under Steve Daily at Coeur D'Alene High School. Fernimen is the first Buffalo recruit from the Gem State. She put together a standout junior season in which she broke the school record for batting average (.516) and stolen bases (28), while also recording 33 hits, a .529 slugging percentage, .575 on base percentage and a .972 fielding percentage. The four-year varsity starter is a two-time IEL 5A All-League Infield of the Year, a Golden Glove Defender of the Year and was also named IEL 5A All-League Outfielder of the Year as a freshman. Off the field, Fernimen is a Region 1 Idaho Top Scholar, honor roll member and has received several scholastic awards.
