2019: Played in 96 sets as she finished with 127 digs on the season…had double figures in digs four times, including 12 against Akron (10/31) and 11 in the MAC Tournament First Round also against Akron (11/21)…added 10 digs against Ohio (10/12) and Central Michigan (10/26).
2018: Played in 89 sets as a defensive specialist finishing with 179 digs…reached double figures in digs night times, including a season-high 13 against Ohio (11/3)…added 12 digs against Butler (9/8), Central Michigan (10/20), Bowling Green (10/27) and in the regular season finale against Toledo (11/10)…added a season-high two service aces at Ohio (9/28).
2017: Played in all 106 sets as a defensive specialist for the Bulls…finished with 216 digs and nine service aces…had 19 digs in UB’s 3-2 win over Rutgers (9/2) and added 15 digs at Kent State (10/27), including diving into the scorer’s table in a play that made ESPN’s Top 10 Plays and the NCAA’s Top Plays…had 13 digs against Appalachian State (9/16) and finished with 12 digs three other times…opened the season with a pair of three-service ace performances against Hampton (8/25) and Canisius (8/25).
2016: Played in all 110 sets during her freshman season, leading the Bulls in digs with 397…recorded double figures in kills in 23 of the 29 matches…had a career-high 37 digs against St. Francis (9/3), the most in a match by a UB freshman since 2009…had 22 digs at Georgia Southern (9/9) and 21 digs in a win at Bucknell (9/17)…finished with double figures in digs in seven of the final nine matches…was also second on the team in assists, including a career-high seven against St. Francis (9/3).
High School: Earned four letters and captained all four years for head coach Michele Hahn at GlenOak High School...went 14-7 as a senior as finished with 260 kills, 22 aces and 321 digs...she was three-time first-team All-Federal League, first-team All-Stark County and first-team All-District IV...was named the 2015 MaxPreps Player of the Year...surpassed both the 1,000-kill and 1,000-dig mark during her high school volleyball career and became the first ever volleyball player from GlenOak to earn a Division I scholarship...was named the 2015-16 GlenOak High School Female Athlete of the Year...played her club volleyball for Ohio Xtreme, The Academy Volleyball of Cleveland and the Northeast Ohio Volleyball Association.
Personal: Born December 18, 1997...daughter of Toni and G. Michael Watson...has one sister (Jordan)...plans to major in exercise science and earn a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree...also would like to become a Division I head volleyball coach...enjoys playing the piano, singing, running, hiking and camping...chose UB because of the academic challenges, while playing the sport she loves in a competitive conference...lists her greatest athletic experience as her Academy Volleyball of Cleveland 17 National Junior Olympic team bringing home a national championship...lists her dream as an athlete is to win the MAC and go to the NCAA Tournament...would like to set multiple digging records at UB including over 2,000 for her career and 650 in a season...chose her number because it is significant in the Bible, representing completion and perfection.
