2022: Appeared in 10 matches for the Bulls...Finished the season with seven assists, one service ace, and 49 digs.
2021: Played in 53 sets, recording double figures in digs in her final 11 appearances, averaging a team-high 3.34 digs per set…had 23 digs against Western Michigan (11/5) and 21 digs in the season finale at Akron (11/17)
Spring 2021: Played in all 78 sets as the team’s primary libero…led the Bulls with 299 digs…had a career-high 28 digs in four sets at Akron (3/23)…added 26 digs at Western Michigan (3/4) and had 23 digs in matches against Northern Illinois (3/12) and Toledo (3/19)…also finished the year with 70 assists, including seven against Toledo (3/19)…named Academic All-MAC.
2019: Played in 118 sets as the team-s primary defensive specialist…finished with 162 digs, recording double figures in digs four times…had 10 digs at North Dakota State (9/14) as well as 10-dig performances against Akron (10/31), Bowling Green (11/8) and Miami (OH) (11/9)…finished with nine service aces, including four against Miami (OH) (11/9).
High School: Earned five letters and captained three seasons for head coach Brandi Cochran at Niagara-Wheatfield Senior High School...went 22-1 during her senior seasons with 256 digs, 82 aces, and 94 assists...set the school record for digs, while becoming the first volleyball player in school history to play at a Division I school...named the Niagara Gazette Player of the Year and an All-Western New York selection...named first-team All-New York State, and was honored with the NY State Championships sponsorship award...played nine seasons with the Niagara Frontier Volleyball Club.
Personal: Born September 19, 2001...daughter of Dale and Sherri Sonnenberg...has one sister, Kalie...her mother was a softball pitcher at Mercyhurst University...enjoys playing the piano, boxing, and baking...favorite athletes are Matt Anderson and Kayla Banwarth...favorite musicians are Thomas Rhett and Ed Sheeren...chose UB because of the proximity to home, the friendly campus atmosphere, and the family-like atmosphere within the volleyball program...would like to set school records for digs and service aces.
