Mainguy, Mitsakos Named MAC Doubles Team of the Week

BUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo men's tennis duo of Clement Mainguy and Theodoros Mitsakos have been named the Mid-American Conference Doubles Team of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday afternoon.

It is a MAC-leading fifth weekly honor for the pairing and the sixth overall for the Bulls this season.

Mitsakos and Mainguy came up big once again for the Bulls as they went 2-0 in their matches at the first position to help lead UB to a 2-0 record on the week. On Thursday, they cruised to a 6-1 victory to help lead Buffalo to 5-2 win over Northern Illinois. They turned in another strong performance on Saturday with a 6-2 victory to power the Bulls to a 7-0 sweep of UIC. With the wins, the duo is now 10-2 in dual action this season.

Up next, Buffalo will close out the regular season on Saturday, April 11 at Toledo before getting ready to host the Mid-American Conference Tournament on April 18-19. Seeding will be determined after Saturday's match.
