Bulls Host Syracuse Before Hitting the Road for Toledo

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The University at Buffalo softball team (21-27, 8-13 MAC) will continue their homestand on Tuesday, April 21st against the Syracuse Orange (17-19, 4-12 ACC). First pitch from Nan Harvey Field is set for 1:30 p.m. Be sure to stop by as it's Hot Dog Day at the ballpark! The Bulls will then hit the road for a three-game series at Toledo (13-30, 9-12 MAC) beginning Friday, April 24th at 3 p.m. They'll wrap up their series against the Rockets on Saturday, April 25th with a doubleheader at 1 p.m. Their entire series will be on ESPN+.

ABOUT SYRACUSE
Syracuse enters their doubleheader with a 17-19 overall record and 4-12 in ACC play. The Orange lead the all-time series with a 13-4 record. Jadyn Burney leads the Orange with a .320 batting average. Madison Knight has a 1.070 OPS to go with her team leading 31 RBIs. She also has 12 home runs on the season. Knight leads Syracuse in the circle with a 9-6 record and a 4.14 ERA in 93.0 innings of work. Julianna Verni has a team-high 84 strikeouts.

Samantha Bolding leads the way for the Rockets with a .375 batting average and a 1.185 OPS. Eli Enriquez leads Toledo with 52 hits on the season as Audrey Miller has 37 RBIs. Katie McDonald has a 5.25 ERA as she's 9-9 with a pair of saves in the circle.

- The Bulls have a program record 411 hits this season, shattering the previous mark set in 2016 with 383. Their 411 hits are third in the MAC and 24th in college softball.
- Their 281 runs scored this year set the new program record and is 59th in the NCAA.
- Bri Delaney has 14 doubles on the season, the fifth-most in the MAC and 59th in the NCAA.
- The Bulls have 13 triples this season, the second-most in a single season in program history.
- Nicole Allen leads the Bulls with 68 total hits this season. She's 17th in the nation in total hits, good for second in the MAC. Allen's 68 hits ranks second-most in a single season in program history. Reagan Terwilliger has 60 hits on the season, the fourth-most in the MAC. They're the only Bulls in the 60-hit club.
- Nicole Allen has been stellar from the dish as she holds a .415 batting average, fourth in the MAC. Reagan Terwilliger is hitting .403 this season, good for seventh in the league.
- Bri Delaney has seven sac flies this season, the third-most in the NCAA.
- Speed demon Reagan Terwilliger set the program record for career triples with 11. She also holds the single season record with six this season.
- Reagan Terwilliger has the second-most runs scored in the conference with 53. She's averaging 1.10 runs per game, good for 46th in the NCAA.
- Bella Smithson leads the team with 11 home runs this season.
- Abbey Nagel and Bella Smithson have hit two grand slams each this season. Buffalo has now hit 15 grand slams in program history.
- As a team, Buffalo is 64-of-72 on stolen bases this season. Their 64 stolen bases are the second-most in a single season in program history and ranks 52nd in the country.
- Genevieve Longsdorf's three saves are 34th in the NCAA.
