Bulls Sweep Spring Season Opener Over Le Moyne

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo women's tennis team opened the spring season with a dominant 7-0 win over Le Moyne on Friday afternoon at Miller Tennis Center.
The Bulls got off to a good start, sweeping doubles as Esmee Andresen and Maria Glowacka cruised to a 6-1 win at first doubles, Sarah Hartel and Julia Laspro won 6-2 at third singles and Liv Roestel and Blanca Berges earned a hard-fought 7-5 win at second doubles.
UB continued its strong play in singles action as Sofia Zagummenova cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 win at sixth singles, Berges rolled to a 6-1, 6-1 win at the fifth position, Julia Laspro won 6-0, 6-3 at third singles, Hartel picked up a 6-0, 6-2 victory at the fourth position, Glowacka earned a decisive 6-1, 6-2 win at second singles and Andresen rounded out the scoring with a 7-5, 6-1 victory at first singles.
Buffalo is back in action on Saturday as they take on Duquesne in a doubleheader with the men's tennis team at Miller Tennis Center at 1:30pm.
