Bulls Drop Season Opener at Miami

CORAL GABLES, FL – The University at Buffalo men's tennis team battled hard but ultimately dropped its season opener at Miami on Saturday night at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center.
The Bulls fought hard in doubles action as Theodoros Mitsakos and Clement Mainguy picked up a 6-3 win at first doubles, but the Hurricanes took the point with wins at at second and third singles.
In singles action, Mitsakos took his opening set at second singles and Emiliano Jorquera and Faiz Nasyam overcame a dropped first set to force a third at fifth and sixth singles respectively, but the rally fell short as the hosts clinched the match with wins at first, third and fourth singles.
Up next, Buffalo returns to action on Thursday, January 29 at Cornell.
