Brink Named MAC Cross Country Men’s Runner of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced on Tuesday morning that University at Buffalo cross country student-athlete Jacob Brink was named the MAC Men's Runner of the Week.
Brink led the Buffalo men in their 5.2-mile race at the Penn State Harry Grove Spiked Shoe Invitational, placing 32nd in the field of 107 runners with a time of 25:50.0.
The Bulls placed seventh of the nine teams in attendance, finishing ahead of Temple, the ninth-ranked team from the Mid-Atlantic region. The men's field at Penn State featured seven regionally ranked programs and one nationally ranked program. The Buffalo men entered the competition ranked 13th in the Northeast region.

The Bulls will next compete on Saturday, September 20th, at the University of Rochester Yellowjacket Invitational. The meet is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. Click here to view the Bulls' full cross country schedule.
