
Trio of Bulls Earn Softball All-MAC Honors

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced their postseason awards on Tuesday afternoon. The University at Buffalo softball program had three Bulls take home honors this season in sophomore outfielder Reagan Terwilliger, junior first baseman Abbey Nagel and freshman outfielder Emily Gorman. This marks the program's most All-MAC honors since 2021 when they took home three awards. Terwilliger earned First-Team honors as Nagel took home Second-Team recognition. Gorman was named to the All-Freshman team.
Terwilliger had a terrific sophomore campaign for the Bulls. She led the Bulls with 5 triples and 17 stolen bases on the year. Terwilliger's 17 stolen bases were fourth in the conference. Her 5 triples lead the conference and tied the program record for most triples in a season. She finished the regular season 29th in the nation for most triples. It's also tied for fifth in program history for most triples in a career. Her 42 hits on the year were the third-most on the team as her 32 runs scored was second. With a .378 batting average in conference play was 18th in the MAC. The Gilbert, Ariz. native had 11 multi-hit performances on the season. Defensively, she finished with 109 put outs. Terwilliger became the first Bull since 2021 to earn First-Team recognition.
Nagel led the Bulls with 53 hits, good for 15th in the MAC. She finished the conference season top-10 in home runs (7), RBIs (25), total bases (57) and slugging percentage (.663). The junior led the team with 9 home runs and 11 doubles to go with her .346 batting average. Nagel had a two-home run day against the Toledo Rockets (4/19) as she became the 14th Bull to go hard twice in a game. The first baseman tallied 126 putouts in conference play, good for seventh. After earning the only MAC player of the week honor this season, Nagel took home Second-Team honors.
Gorman was one of the best hitters in college softball in her season campaign. The freshman outfielder finished the season with a .395 batting average, good for 126th in the nation and fourth in the MAC. Her .490 on base percentage was second in the MAC. She finished with 47 hits including 10 doubles. The outfielder had a team-high .500 on base percentage as she added 23 walks. Gorman is the first Bull since 2019 to earn All-Freshman Team honors.
