Bulls Face Off Against Miami (OH) in MAC Tournament Semifinals

BUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo women's tennis team (18-7, 5-5 MAC) heads to Toledo this weekend for the 2025 Mid-American Conference Tournament.
The Bulls enter the tournament as the four seed and will take on top seed Miami (OH) in the first semifinal match of the day on Thursday at 10am. The hosts, #3 Toledo, will face #2 Northern Illinois in the second semifinal match of the day at 2pm.
Saturday's semifinal winners will play for the championship match on Friday at 12pm, with the winner receiving the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
Buffalo ended the regular season with an 18-7 overall record and a 5-5 mark in league play. UB has presented a balanced attack in singles action with six players recording double-digit win totals on the season, led by All-MAC First Team selection Esmee Andresen and freshman Liv Roestel who have 19 wins each. Underclassmen Julia Laspro (16), Blanca Berges (16) and Maria Glowacka (15) and senior Jagmeet Kaur (12) have also reached double digit wins. In doubles play, the Bulls have been led by Berges and Roestel who own a team-best 10 doubles victories when paired together.
Miami (OH) enters the weekend with an 10-9 overall record and a 9-1 mark in league play after closing the regular season with a 4-3 win over Northern Illinois. The RedHawks are led Catherine Denysiewicz-Slowek and Lauren Joyce who have both surpassed the 20-win singles mark. The pairings of Emilia Valentinsson and Sara Zalukar and Denysiewicz-Slowek and Malu Oliveira have both recorded double digit wins in doubles action.
