Bulls Rally, Drop Close Contest at Toledo to Close Regular Season

TOLEDO, OH – The University at Buffalo women's tennis team saw its rally come up just short in a 4-3 loss at Toledo in the regular season finale on Friday afternoon.
The Bulls, who clinched a spot in the Mid-American Conference Tournament last weekend, will be the #4 seed and will face #1 Miami (OH) on Thursday, April 24 at 10am at the UT Varsity Tennis Courts in Toledo, Ohio.
Trailing 1-0 after doubles action, the Bulls mounted their comeback as Deanne Choo won 6-2, 6-3 at six singles and Jagmeet Kaur overcame a dropped first set to win 2-6, 6-3, 6-3 at third singles to tie the match. Later, Esmee Andresen earned a hard-fought three-set victory of her own with a 6-7, 6-3, 6-3 win at first singles to tie the match at three but the Rockets were able to clinch the match with a win at fifth singles.
