
Bulls Drop Contest at Northern Illinois, Clinch Spot in MAC Tournament on Sunday

SYCAMORE, IL – The University at Buffalo women's team (18-6, 5-4 MAC) battled back but ultimately came up short in a 4-3 loss at Northern Illinois on Saturday. However, with the results from around the league, the Bulls have clinched a spot in the 2025 Mid-American Conference, hosted by Toledo, April 24-25.
Finding themselves down entering singles play, Esmee Andresen put the Bulls on the board with a 6-4, 6-4 win at first singles. Later, Blanca Berges overcame a dropped second set to win 6-2, 3-6, 10-8 and Liv Roestel also won a three-set tiebreaker 5-7, 6-3, 10-6 but the rally came up short as the Huskies secured the win.
Up next, the Bulls will conclude the regular season at Toledo on Friday, April 18 at 12pm.
