Softball Falls to Tennessee State in Final Day of Wofford Invitational

SPARTANBURG, S.C. β The University at Buffalo softball team (2-12, 0-0 MAC) fell to the Tennessee State Tigers on Sunday morning, 4-0.

GAME 5 VS. TENNESSEE STATE
It was an offensive struggle for the Bulls as they finished with just 2 hits both coming from Emily Gorman and Reagan Terwilliger.

It was a scoreless affair until the Tigers broke through in the bottom of the third. They scored on a wild pitch and then capitalized on a costly fielding error to make it 2-0.

The Bulls threatened in the top of the fourth as they had runners on first and second with no outs, but a flyout gave the Tigers the first out of the inning. Ardyn Hopf reached on an error to advance Lily Lauck and Abbey Nagel to second and third. Unfortunately, the Tigers turned an inning ending double play the following at bat.

The game remained 2-0 in favor of the Tigers, but they grabbed insurance runs in both the fifth and sixth innings. Tennessee State snagged the 4-0 win.

The Bulls are back in action on Friday at the Marshal March Madness Tournament.
