Bulls Earn Statement Win Over DePaul on Saturday

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The University at Buffalo men's tennis team picked up a big win as they defeated DePaul 4-3 at the Medical Mutual Tennis Pavilion on Saturday afternoon.
It is UB's first win over a ranked opponent since the Bulls defeated Harvard in 2019.
The Bulls earned a crucial doubles point as Michael Malkin and Yu-Shiang Huang won 6-4 at first doubles and Theodoros Mitsakos and Clement Mainguy earned a 6-2 victory at the third position.
In singles action, Cheng Tang won 6-2, 6-1 at second singles, Faiz Nasyam picked up a 6-2, 6-4 victory at sixth singles and Mainguy clinched the match with a 7-5, 6-3 win at the third position.
Up next, Buffalo concludes the weekend with a contest against the hosts, Cleveland State, on Sunday at 11am.
