Bulls Make Statement with 6-1 at Youngstown State

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The University at Buffalo women's tennis team (8-0) defeated Youngstown State 6-1 on Friday afternoon.
The Bulls started strong as Liv Roestel and Blanca Berges won 6-4 at third doubles and Esmee Andresen and Maria Glowacka battled to a 7-5 win at the first position to clinch the doubles point.
Buffalo then went on to win five of six singles matches as Andresen overcame a dropped first set to win 4-6, 6-3, 10-3 at first singles and Glowacka won 6-4, 6-3 victory at the second position. Jagmeet Kaur picked up a 6-4, 6-1 win at third singles, Berges won 6-4, 6-4 at fifth singles and Roestel cruised 6-2, 6-3 at the sixth position.
Up next, Buffalo hosts Skidmore and the University of Rochester in a doubleheader at Miller Tennis Center on Saturday, starting at 1:30pm.
