Bulls Shine in 6-1 Victory at Youngstown State

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The University at Buffalo men's tennis team turned in solid performances from start to finish as they earned a big road win with a 6-1 decision at Youngstown State on Friday night.

The Bulls got off to a great start, winning the doubles point as Yu-Shiang Huang and Michael Malkin won 6-3 at first singles and Daniils Snaiders and Cheng Tang earned a hard fought 7-6 victory at the third position.

Buffalo continued their momentum in singles action as Malkin won 6-3, 6-2 at fifth singles and Emiliano Jorquera earned a 6-3, 6-1 victory at the sixth position to give UB a 3-0 lead. Tang also won in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4, at second singles and Theodoros Mitsakos overcame a dropped first set to win 3-6, 6-3, 10-8 at first singles before Clement Mainguy brought it home with a 6-1, 7-5 victory at third singles.

Up next, Buffalo returns to action with a pair of matches in Cleveland, beginning on Saturday, March 1 against DePaul.
