Bulls Fall to Penn State on Sunday

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The University at Buffalo men's tennis team fell to Penn State 4-2 on the campus of Yale University on Sunday afternoon.
The Nittany Lions took the doubles point with wins at first and third doubles. Cheng Tang and Faiz Nasyam earned a 6-1 victory at the second position.
The Bulls got their first point of the match as Theodoros Mitsakos battled to a 7-5, 7-5 victory at first singles and Daniils Snaiders earned a straight sets victory of his own, 6-3, 6-3 at the third position, but the hosts sealed the match with wins at four, five and six.
"This weekend was a tough test for our team," said head coach Lee Nickell. "I am very proud of the energy and fight we displayed, and we are very positive going into next weekend's matches."
Up next, Buffalo will play a pair of road contests at Siena and Princeton, on February 6 and 7, respectively, before returning home to take on St. Bonaventure on Sunday, February 9 at Miller Tennis Center.
