Bulls Start Weekend Strong, Defeat Siena 6-1 on Thursday

LATHAM, NY – The University at Buffalo men's tennis team kicked off the weekend with a dominant 6-1 win at Siena on Thursday.
The Bulls took the first point of the match as Yu-Shiang Huang and Michael Malkin earned a hard-fought 7-5 win at first doubles and Emiliano Jorquera and Theodoros Mitsakos won 6-4 at the third position to secure the doubles point.
Buffalo then continued their strong play in singles action, winning five of six matches. Mitsakos battled back from a dropped second set to win 6-4, 2-6, 10-6 at first singles. Senior Daniils Snaiders cruised to a 6-2, 6-1 win at second singles and Malkin battled to a 6-4, 7-6 victory at third singles. Faiz Nasyam won 6-2, 6-2 at fourth singles and Jorquera picked up a 6-3, 6-4 win at the fifth position.
Up next, Buffalo returns to action on Friday at Princeton at 12pm.
