Bulls Defeat Mercyhurst 6-1 on Wednesday

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo men's tennis team defeated Mercyhurst 6-1 at Miller Tennis Center on Wednesday afternoon.
The Bulls started strong sweeping doubles action as Clement Mainguy and Theodoros Mitsakos cruised to a 6-0 win at second doubles, Faiz Nasyam and Emiliano Jorquera also rolled to a 6-0 win at third doubles and Yu-Shiang Huang and Michael Malkin picked up a 6-3 victory at the first position.
Nasyam cruised to a 6-0, 6-2 win at sixth singles, Cheng Tang won 6-2, 6-3 at second singles and Mitsakos won 6-1, 6-3 at first singles to clinch the match. Mainguy followed seconds later with a 6-4, 6-3 win at third singles and Jorquera rounded out the match with a 6-2, 6-0 win at the fifth position.
Up next, Buffalo travels to Youngstown State for a contest with the Penguins on Friday, February 21 at 5pm.
