Bulls Battle to 4-3 Win Over Duquesne on Friday

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo women's tennis team rallied to a 4-3 win over Duquesne on Friday afternoon at Miller Tennis Center.
The Bulls took the doubles point as Jagmeet Kaur and Marta Giglio won 6-2 at the second position and Esmee Andresen and Maria Glowacka earned a hard-fought 7-5 win at first doubles.
Glowacka continued her stellar play in singles action as she cruised to a 6-2, 6-1 win at fourth singles. After the Dukes won three straight matches at the top of the lineup to take a 3-2 lead, Liv Roestel earned a big point at fifth singles with a 7-5, 6-4 win to tie the match and then fellow freshman Blanca Berges earned the clinching point for UB with a 6-0, 6-1 victory at the sixth position.
Up next, Buffalo returns to action on Saturday as they take on Niagara and IUP in a doubleheader at Miller Tennis Center starting at 12:30pm.
