BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo announces Tim Hortons as the Official Coffee of University at Buffalo Athletics. Tim Hortons has been a staple in WNY community for almost 40 years, and this sponsorship further shows their commitment to the community.
"We're excited to continue to grow our partnership with Tim Hortons," UB Vice President and Director of Athletics Mark Alnutt said. "We appreciate their commitment to UB Athletics and the community and look forward to working with them as our official coffee sponsor."
Tim Hortons is known for their work supporting communities and children's activities. They will be sponsoring game day experiences such as the Kickoff Kid during UB Football games, where a child has the opportunity to run out on the field and pick up the opening kickoff tee. Tim Hortons will also sponsor the high five tunnel experience for groups, a favorite for kids to interact with the Men's and Women's Basketball teams as they exit the locker rooms on game day. The sponsorship will also include brand presence in UB Stadium and Alumni Arena.
This partnership builds on a longstanding relationship – UB Athletics employees and staff have volunteered during Tim Hortons Camp Days, where the brand seeks to raise funds to send underserved youth to their Tim Hortons Foundation Camps, where kids are equipped with skills like leadership, resilience, and responsibility, empowering them to open doors to their future.
"The Tim Hortons brand is rooted in sports and everyone on Team Tims believes in the power of athletics to build community, develop valuable skills, confidence and resiliency," said David Beaton, Tim Hortons Franchisee. "We're proud to be the Official Coffee of University at Buffalo Athletics and continue to grow out partnership."
Bulls Sports Properties, the university's athletics multimedia rights holder and locally based LEARFIELD team, manages the Tim Hortons relationship.
