Bulls Defeat Air Force in Friday Night Thriller

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – The University at Buffalo women's tennis team rallied for a thrilling 4-3 win over Air Force in the Cadet Gym on Friday night.
The Bulls got off to a great start as Ambre Amat and Esmee Andresen picked up a 6-2 win at first doubles and Deanne Choo and Lolina Schietekat Sedas won 6-3 at third doubles to give UB a 1-0 lead in the match.
Graduate student Jagmeet Kaur gave Buffalo their first singles point of the night with a hard-fought 6-4, 7-5 win at the first position to put UB up 2-1 but the hosts responded with wins at fourth and third singles to retake the lead, 4-3.
At sixth singles, Andresen cruised to a 6-1, 6-1 victory and the match came down to fifth singles where Mariana Carvajal Torres came in clutch, delivering a 6-4, 6-1 victory to clinch the match.
Up next, Buffalo returns home to host Oakland and Siena in a doubleheader at Miller Tennis Center on Saturday, February 3rd.
