Bulls Fall to Eastern Michigan on Saturday Afternoon

YPSILANTI, Mich. – The University at Buffalo men's basketball team (2-17, 1-6 MAC) lost to the Eastern Michigan Eagles (9-11, 2-6) on Saturday afternoon, 75-65. In the loss, the Bulls had four players score in double figures. Isaiah Adams led the team with 13 points followed by Sy Chatman (12), James Graham (11) and Shawn Fulcher (10). Jonnivius Smith led all players with 11 rebounds.
In back-to-back games, the Bulls finished on the positive side of the assist-to-turnover margin, 14-8.
The Bulls had one of their best shooting halves of the season, going 14-for-30 (46.7%) from the floor. The Eagles and Bulls traded blows in the half as the largest deficit was just five points. An Isaiah Adams three-pointer gave Buffalo their largest lead of the game with 6:51 left in the first half, 26-22. Eastern Michigan closed the half outscoring the Bulls, 13-7, to lead 35-33 at the half.
Buffalo's last lead of the night came in the opening possession of the second half off an and-one dunk by Chatman. The lone free throw was Buffalo's only free throw attempt of the second half to Eastern Michigan's 10. Eastern Michigan started the second half on a 10-3 run to extend their lead to 45-36. The Bulls couldn't keep pace as the Eagles went 15-for-24 (62.5%) from the floor in the half.
The Bulls are back in action on Tuesday at Ohio. Tip is set for 7 p.m.
