Bulls Fall to the Bobcats

ATHENS, Ohio – The University at Buffalo men's basketball team (2-18, 1-7 MAC) lost to the Ohio Bobcats (11-10, 5-4 MAC) on Tuesday evening.
Sy Chatman recorded his ninth game scoring 20+ and 19th scoring in double figures, as he finished with 22. Jonnivius Smith finished with his fifth double-double of the season with 15 points and 13 rebounds. Isaiah Adams (11), Ryan Sabol (10) and Anquan Boldin Jr. (10) rounded out the Bulls' top scorers. Chatman led the Bulls with four assists and two blocks.
Buffalo led, 10-4 and held the lead for 5:12 before the Bobcats came alive. After a pair of Chatman free throws to tie the game at 12, the Bobcats never lost the lead. Ohio took advantage of the Bulls' 11 turnovers as they scored 25 points off the fast break.
For the second time in three games, the Bulls made 10 three-pointers, finishing 10-for-28 (35.7%). Sabol buried a team-high three as Chatman, Adams, and Boldin Jr. cashed in on two apiece. Smith made one for the Bulls.
The Bulls are back in action at home on Friday against the Kent State Golden Flashes at 6:30 on CBSSN.
